We are the only party that give secure borders says Kemi Badenoch. What ? What did the Tories do in 14 years ? It was the Tories supported by Brexiteers that made our borders insecure through Brexit !Ended access to a biometrics database & ended the returns agreement.

What is very alarming in the @news.sky.com poll is not only is a Reform Govt is elected on a 27% vote share. There has been little coverage of this a party with a quarter of the vote will determine the the future of the country . This should be a wake up call for electoral reform .

I don't say this as any huge fan of her politics. I just don't see how governments are meant to function when ministers are never allowed to make mistakes. We can't demand more "human" politicians if we don't make some allowances for human error.
Anyway. I am sure she'll be back some day

Yes she should have gone to experts. But she tried to rectify it as soon as she realised. There is no suggestion of deliberate wrongdoing or tax avoidance. Our politics should be able to handle ministers making mistakes, and take account that they are human, with family challenges just like anyone

I am hardly a natural Rayner cheerleader, but genuinely furious that she's gone. Laurie Magnus's verdict confirms she acted on advice, she just missed the disclaimer saying she should get extra advice. Not just an honest mistake - a mistake literally anyone could make. There but for the grace etc...

Why is it media outlets like @news.sky.com and presenters like Wilfred Frost show bad manners and refer to ministers like Angela Rayner by their title rather than their surname . Rudeness barely describes the behaviour.
