EM doc in GTA. Still nursing a bad knee and possibly bad attitude. All opinions are mine.
@yrdsb.bsky.social any plans to assist students writing exams over the next two days of extreme heat in non-air conditioned schools? Considering performance is impaired under such conditions seems like a plan should be implemented.

Anyone who says RFK Jr is not an antivaccine ideological zealot and a ghoul is, themself, an antivaccine ideological zealot and ghoul. This need not ever happen.
The U.S. has officially recorded its first measles death since 2015. Texas health officials have confirmed that an unvaccinated child has passed away from measles amid a massive outbreak that has impacted nine counties in West Texas.

Doug Ford has done nothing to increase access to family physicians and has overseen unprecedented numbers of ED closures in our province and has the gall to blame the victims of his policies. This government does not deserve another 4 years. Please don’t let it happen!

Saying again, we should offer sanctuary and positions to all scientists being persecuted and having their funding and research stifled by the Trump administration here in Canada.

If you are not anti-vaccine, you don’t have to write a book where the first and last sentences are “I am not anti-vaccine.” Actions speak louder than words. RFK Jr’s actions SCREAM anti-vaccine.

If Ford has had a plan and failed to implement it he should be voted out of office on this alone. He has taken a bad situation with Ontario’s healthcare and made it much worse.
He had 2 terms to do this. More election BS.

The provincial government says it has a plan to connect every Ontario resident with a family doctor within four years by spending $1.4 billion, in addition to $400 million that was previously committed to primary care.

Gotta give a full endorsement to The Pitt. Most realistic emergency show I’ve seen yet.

This Quebec website tracks a rising number of sites of potential exposure to measles. The only sure way to stay safe is to get vaccinated. www.quebec.ca/en/health/he...

For each measles case reported in Québec, a public health investigation is conducted. Consult locations, dates and times where exposure may have occurred.

This is a concept that I have had an extremely frustrating time trying to convey to people. It’s generated at least one vexatious complaint for myself. This is a core concept of infectious disease that the lack of appreciation for will prevent an inadequate response to any pandemic threat.

We are currently seeing record volumes of patients in our EDs and UCCs in the GTA. Please remember we are the ones that showed up during the holiday season when everyone else is gone before you go on a diatribe about wait times.

This Christmas, will you please remember that toddlers see button disc batteries as potential lollies or toys. Ingestion of button disc batteries could be fatal. This is what happens to ham in 0, 20, 40 & 60 minutes with exposure to battery. Imagine it in your child’s throat.#ENT #Emergency #surgery
