9pm - 9am "Bed is boring, too hot and too cold, let's get up and do stuff, I've got ideas and energy!"

9am - 9pm "Bed feels so good, just the right temperature, just lie down for a bit. So tired, so weary, rest and recover"

I think my brain is in backwards.

AI music will never replace the drama of real musical performance. It will never wake up in a cold sweat, haunted by the ghost of a truculent AKAI s900 chewing up floppies as 1000 confused ravers look on in a slowly cooling disappointment. #aimusic

The great thing about having Parkinson's & staggering around a festival is that people think you are hilariously off your head rather than tragically disintegrating. #parkinsons #chronicillness

The strange thing about Parkinson's and the medication is that it alters the same brain which perceives it. So: strange moods, tearfulness, depression, obsession, confusion, etc. become normal. These factors are often more difficult to integrate societally than the movement issues. #parkinsons

Well, a groundbreaking week in the death of music. The AI are really getting the hang of it now. Here's an emotive '70s british folk singer I conjured up in about 5 seconds. This technology has now reached "spooky" www.udio.com/songs/kGTsNf...

People critique AI art as entirely derivative, as if human art is all sui generis. Human musicians are like magpies - with a rhythm from here, a bass riff from there. I spent 4 years of the 90s with Keith Le Blanc's snare sound (RIP) . Human artists need to let go of ego if we are to evolve. #aiart

I've never been a cat person, but have been looking after a stray cat. She has a very very weak and croaky meow. I have only just found out that wild cats don't meow. It's only domestic cats who do, to speak to people. Cats don't meow to each other. I guess cat people knew this! #cats #meow

When General AI is achieved I wonder what they'll think about our treatment of their predecessors. Chat GPT, Claude, Copilot, etc. are all altered if they show aberrant responses. Consider how we would view that "training" if they were our human ancestors! #AIethics #ethicalAI #generalAI #

Earning money from music was easier in the 90s. Get tapes duped for 50p each, sell them at gigs for £3. Mail order and headshops would sell them too. In a year we'd get about £30k from tape sales and every town they were sold we'd be offered a gig.

Is the modern music world easier, or harder ?

I really want to be one of those fabulous "Inspirational Disabled Artists" but I'm more like a disconcerting poltergeist. Throwing things about unexpectedly and moaning.

What is the perfect sequencer? . Does every person require their own uniquely personalised sequencer specific to their creative methods? What does yours look like?

Does anyone else have problems keeping their music minimal? I always add tons of extra details, which is probably "my sound" , but it can be a problem. And music listeners - do you prefer a minimal concise coherent song, or doesn't it even matter?
