What is so wrong w Mamdani saying “these sacred [a synagogue] spaces should not be used to promote activities in violation of international law” while simultaneously denouncing the actions & language of protesters at the event? I mean, do ppl think it’s ok to promote violations of international law?

www.nytimes.com/2025/11/24/u... “With views of the Democratic brand at record lows, the group argues that the party must embrace candidates willing to challenge entrenched corporate interests, fiercely oppose the Trump administration and defy their own party’s orthodoxy.” Amen to that.

This is complete bullshit. This is the same Council of Economic Advisors (all Trump hacks) that said tariffs don’t cause inflation, that the economy would grow by 5%, that the big bill would cut the deficit, etc. of course he doesn’t say that blue states account for 71% of all economic output (GDP).
Bessent: "You know the best way to bring your inflation rate down? Move from a blue state to a red state. Blue state inflation is half a percent higher."

It took Alito just hours to toss the Appeals Ct ruling throwing out the Texas congressional maps. SCOTUS will go through the motions & then make a decision legalizing race based gerrymandering. If the court doesn’t like being labeled as “political hacks in robes” they should stop acting like this.

US is in decline with feckless political leadership. Our principles are consumerism & amassing of wealth resulting in an electorate and political leaders that are transactional. Strategic vision & a defined national global interest is devalued & disdained. China has little to do with our decline.

@washingtonpost.com writes an editorial bemoaning Trump’s behavior re: the Saudi “Prince.” Rightly so given that Khashoggi was at the then respectable paper. They did not mention how Trump is being bought off by the Saudis.“ None of this occurs if Saudis don’t pay up. “Journalism dies in Cowardice”.

Given the corruption at DOJ, why isn’t Manhattan DA Bragg investigating the NY based Epstein enablers & crimes & Maxwell (who will be pardoned or given clement after the 2026 elections)? He could subpoena the financial records from Treasury and seek unredacted files from the feds.
November 19, 2025 at 4:13 PM
Of course this is nonsense. But think about if it were true. Huge swaths of our economy would owned by a murderous, lawless, misogynistic Saudi “Prince.” Why would we want that?
Fox News credulously reports that "the Saudis now say their investment pledge in the US will be increased to $1 trillion." THE ENTIRE GDP OF SAUDI ARABIA IS $1.1 TRILLION, so this is total nonsense.

GOP talking point: take the $26 billion in ACA subsidies away from the insurance companies and give it consumers. But who would consumers buy this insurance from? Oh, the same companies but now the companies wouldn’t be regulated or be required to use at least 80% of premiums on claims. Brilliant!
November 18, 2025 at 3:38 AM
Megyn Kelly: if you seek to diminish Epstein’s actions as not pedophilia but “only” trafficking in vulnerable age 14 girls, you’re having the wrong discussion. But I guess we should be pleased that you use the Psych Association definitions; now respect their definition for gender dysphoria.

Schumer claims to have been opposed to the bill to end the shutdown & was not involved in the negotiation, but he signed off on the provision giving GOP Senators the right to sue taxpayers for the investigation of their phone records regarding J6. He’s a lying hack.

Trump’s appeal: come for the stoking of resentment and the punching down; stay for the cruelty, the corruption, and the depravity. All of it naked and there to see.

Sure, let’s not score a win for the American people. Instead let’s score some political points for Democrats that don’t matter in people’s lives. That’s worked out so well, right? Right!!???
Kaine on why he thinks just getting a vote on healthcare is a win: "We're the minority party, but everybody will get to see who is standing for them when it comes to lowering their healthcare costs"
November 10, 2025 at 3:31 PM
Understand who Tim Kaine is. He voted to confirm Kristi Noem and Scott Bessent. He voted to weaken Dodd Frank. This latest vote is no surprise. He’s an ineffectual weakass joke. He’s never been a fighter for the people. And don’t get me started on Durbin.
November 10, 2025 at 2:49 PM
The Democratic caucus in the Senate must immediately remove Schumer and Durbin from leadership. They have no credibility and it will mitigate the political fallout with voters who believe the Dems need to fight.

Another consequence of Trump dismantling worker protections. There is no functioning NLRB to protect workers from unlawful retaliation.
conde nast fired the vp of new york newsguild for asking HR questions
More important to me than my identity, I am also the Vice President of the NewsGuild of New York, and targeting me with a blatantly retaliatory termination like this feels like an egregious shot against our union and against media workers as a whole.

The House passed CR funded the government through Nov 21. If the Dems in the Senate pass it on November 20, would federal workers, military, and SNAP be paid through November with feds and military getting back pay to Oct 1? The government would shut down again on Nov 22 unless a deal is reached.

Minority view that may piss u off: the 1987economy is not the 2025 economy. Reagan was wrong: targeted tariffs made sense 40 yrs ago. Let’s not be so desperate that we laud Reagan and his flawed policies (that caused pain) because what he did in a different context supports our view 4 decades later

Trump is lying about the $130 million donation
to pay the troops. Of course, when his lips are moving, it’s a dead giveaway he’s lying. Oh, and because there are 1.3 million active duty military, the “donation” is only $100 per person. Trump is not even good at lying, despite all the practice.
October 25, 2025 at 1:36 PM
www.nytimes.com/2025/10/24/u... this is a provocation with no substance. Trump wants a reaction to create a “what are they hiding” vibe. Ignore this & it goes away. Anyone can “monitor” an election. So what? I’m going to “monitor” the Dodgers vs. Blue Jays. It doesn’t mean I’m playing shortstop.

Our country is dying, and Jack Smith knows it.

He’s asking to testify publicly, so you know he’s got receipts.

Doing this paints an even larger target on his back, and he's saying, "Fuck it."

Go Jack!
