To geek out a bit, the trophy is named for Elmer A. Schroeder - former USFA & ASL president and founder of the Philadelphia German-Americans which dominated the ASL in the 1930s. The cup was given to the ASL league champs from ca. 1940 until the Ukrainian Nationals "retired" it.
The Schroeder Cup trophy won six times by Philadelphia’s Ukrainian Nationals in the American Soccer League from 1960-70.
