Not entirely sure I vibe with SIRĀT's nihilistic political approach, especially when the stylistic trappings are much more geared towards being a nerve wracking, thudding EDM-scored take on SORCERER. Probably would be much better if it were more focused on the genre exercise.

Not at all surprising but still an utter delight for David Byrne to put on one of the best shows I've ever seen. Pure joy.

Rewatching THE HUNTED. All timer rainy PNW photography that really sings on the Kino 4K. Doesn't get enough recognition in the Friedkin oeuvre for being as nerve-shreddingly tense as his best.

As always, the latest Motern film is one of my favorites of the year; an earnest, delightful kaleidoscope of cinematic trickery that exists as proof of the power of film and the communities that come together to produce it. The boys have done it again.

I liked Maverick as much as anyone but we've gotta stop letting Kosinski follow in the footsteps of the real romantics. He's not a yearner like Mann or Scott and I don't need to see a bland but technically proficient reboot of Miami Vice, he just doesn't have the juice.
