Next up: “Passion Fruit” co written with Dior Clarke at the Barbican Spring ‘25
Pinned
I’m a writer for stage and screen. Recently “Juniper and Jules”, “Thirsty” Have recently made a comedy drama pilot and short film with my long time co-writer Dior Clarke. Our play “Passion Fruit” is transferring to Barbican next Spring..
Lovely for Martin Clunes, at least.

I’ll be seeing it for maximalist joy (amongst other reasons) which I think we could do with a lot more of!

The master clown helped generations of performers be more alive in the moment – and not take themselves too seriously. His teachings were for life as well as the stage

Fascism cannot produce art that lives because living art relies on unqualified engagement with an other, a challenge to the self. Fascism can only ever conjure an ever more atrociously gilded mirror reflecting back faces that refuse even the realities of time.

It's not actually a mystery is it? It's a project that despises curiosity, difference, intellectual inquiry, humanity, complexity, difficulty, compassion, soul - and exalts crude and charmless displays of wealth and power. It is tacky, hateful, boorish and stupid - of course it makes shit art lol

Managed to catch one of the final shows of this today in Stratford. Loved it. Always nostalgic for my time Bham Uni when in the West Mids.

To add to the madness of it all, the attack on Venezuela is clearly, above all, an oil grab. But we scarcely need oil any more.

A very long and important THREAD -

The real reason the US is invading Venezuela goes back to a deal Henry Kissinger made with Saudi Arabia in 1974.

And I'm going to explain why this is actually about the SURVIVAL of the US dollar itself.

Not drugs. Not terrorism. Not "democracy." 1/

Feral Twitmas at the truly amazing Young V and A with my tiny walker. Obviously didn’t have time to read any captions or look at any of the exhibits as chasing newly qualified toddler around.
