The number of times you tried to shame me, yelling that I wasn't paying attention while you explained mixed fractions, your voice getting louder and louder, while of part of me withered and went numb was too many times to count.

The gift has been given, and now I can share!

I got the chance to do this style emulation, and it was so so fun. I love Pokemon so much.

Robert Louis Stevenson (1850-94)
𝑻𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝑰𝒔𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒅 and 𝑫𝒓.𝑱𝒆𝒌𝒚𝒍𝒍 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑴𝒓. 𝑯𝒚𝒅𝒆 (which he wrote in three days after a vivid dream). He collapsed while opening a bottle of wine, asking his wife 'Does my face look strange?', and died of a brain hemorrhage at age 44.

My first love, I eventually learned, was a #myth I had created to attach to a man who was in almost every way wrong for me, as I was for him. Cutting ties was painful. I had invested such misplaced hope in us. Now I know I avoided true heartbreak.

One evening, a ballroom bursts into life with enthusiasm; satin, silk, and lace adorn a whirlpool of dancers. A #myth grows in the pauses between a couple of steps. Nearby, a veranda hosts the flutter of sorrowful lips.

Doing a loop in Silver Lake, and Ivanhoe Reservoir is looking nicely van Gogh-esque this morning, a kind of daylight version of "The Starry Night."

“Who Said I Was a Wizard?”

Character art I made for a D&D campaign I’ve joined after another one ended. Roan is very old school wizard coded (with a touch of druid). Portraying a witty grandfather and former farmer thrust into a dungeon crawl amid a party of otherwise young adults is good fun.

The lawmaker presented the document to Abeis.

‘What’s this about?’ Abeis asked, his eyes narrowing with suspicion. He crushed the scroll in his fist. 'My people are governed by the strongest, not by written #law,' he growled.

'In Palmyra, the laws rule us,' Lady Bahria replied calmly.

It’s 6 November, and you know what that means, don’t you? YES, THAT’S RIGHT. It’s the 156th anniversary of the death of Dante Gabriel Rossetti’s pet wombat

“What does one of them look like?”

“Not like an apocalypse survivor.”

“Apt, because talking to you feels like surviving an apocalypse.”

Wow, everyone seemed to like my last post with some of my console collection. Some more then, I got a lot of this from coworkers getting rid of their game stuff. Hence the dupes. The jaguar is a dev kit, though I never worked on a game for the system.

Dressed in a history of error, the thread we pull on unravels time––leaves us unprotected. There is nothing to cloak us when comedy moves in, when it wounds pride and throws down pomposity, replacing them with a fine-tuned absurdity.
Error is to be accepted gracefully, and moved on from.
