Still not interested in Doomsday, mainly because they overdo the “we’re not good enough” schtick so that I don’t think they could carry a franchise. But I appreciate that we now have an MCU film’s final act be a Silent Hill level.

All that shit in the 1st OP, they do it in the movie!
The way they incorporate the Saga Prefecture tourism ad into fighting this invasion and their commitment to making Zombie Idols in Space work as an epic blockbuster is hilarious.

The playground and movie theater scene was kind of the deciding factor for my first choice.
I did also pick waterboy for this route, so doing the Blazer and Phenomamon route at the same time is tempting. 👀

Yeah, I can see why Korea was more meh on this compared to the west. Despite hammering home how this man's actions aren't even cool, the ending kind of rewards him for going through with it.
I do prefer it over THIRST, which is the closest film in tone.

This is the first time I've seen a Safdie movie where I still rooted for the protagonist. He's got that dawg in him in a way that's still inspirational, and it helps that most of the people caught in his crossfire ain't so innocent either.

This is a really odd reason to drop "My Gym Partner's a Monkey the Anime", but Darwin Incident being such an america-coded manga only to end up with an english dub this wooden sucked all my motivation to keep watching.
