As the COP30 conference begins in Brazil, I found this interesting site that compares countries by the % of their national energy produced by renewables.

Some developing countries have bypassed dirty fossil fuels and gone straight to 100% renewable grids

For all you fossil fuel climate deniers who have used China as an excuse to drag your feet. That era is coming to an end.

And while you were spinning lies to stop change, China embraced it. Its green technology is set to change the world and make them very rich.

Danielle Smith tried to sneak a major coal project on the eastern slope of the Rockies past Albertans.

She got caught, had to back down.

Now she's paid $100s of million of our tax dollars to compensate big coal.

She paid them off, but forced the teachers back to work.

This is desperation. The Flim-Flam man is panicking because of record unpopularity.

He's taxed every American with his tariffs. Every increased price reflects that tax.

Now he thinks bribing people with their own money is going to solve it?

Listened to #CrossCountyCheckup on #CBC radio today.

Program's question: Are grocery store gouging?

Their guest stated majors like Walmart & Superstore have same price as independents, so thinks evidence of not gouging

I think majors could go less, but up their pricing to match local stores

Trump is not fit to be president when he's awake.

At least sleeping, he's not actively doing harm.

President Sleepy Slump
Folks this is not a candid shot of the man at 11PM on a weekend, this is what he was doing while sitting in the middle of an internationally broadcast major press conference in the Oval Office

He is cooked, get him out of there ASAP—before we find ourselves in the midst of a second Great Depression

Meanwhile, in Trumpistan, looks like air travel will be "reduced to a trickle".

You have only yourselves to blame. Plenty of evidence from the first Trump disastrous presidency.

But, no, you had to elect him again.

Christ fed the multitude with loaves and fishes.

In contrast, Trump went to court to block food being given to the poor.

This opposes the values of Christ.

It really makes Trump, by definition, the Anti-Christ.

The real danger of Ai is not machines taking over, but that it gets used by the sociopathic oligarchs in charge of tech companies to control us all.

Come to think of it, that is probably why they are all pushing Ai.

In 2018, Google quietly removed the phrase "don't be evil" from their mission statement.

I guess that's because corporate monopolies that abuse privacy rights are inevitably evil.

No carbon tax, this is greedy oil company tax.

The UCP in Alberta rolled back rules that prevented corporate money corrupting democracy.

Most of those corporate $ are going to the United Corruption Party.

The NDP is getting more individual donations, but they're smaller.

42 million people in the US rely on SNAP

Meanwhile, the 10 richest oligarchs in the US control 2.65 trillion between themselves.

And Trump is shutting down Congress to cut taxes and for wealthy & remove healthcare from millions.

How is this making America better?

Worst president ever!

Wicked witch of the west, Danielle Smith, arbitrarily made COVID vaccine hard to get because she's an anti-vax wacko.

Increased ICU use and deaths will wipe out any money she thinks she'll save.

#Canada should either launch our own search engine or buy an existing one.

Then we could give any ad revenue on a linked Canadian news site to that news site instead of Google. Goodbye paywalls to any Canadian using the Canadian browser!

In 1989, as the repressive Chinese regime sent in tanks to crush a pro-democracy protest in Tiananmen Square, one man did an incredibly brave thing.

Today, the US president has sent the military onto American streets.

Of course he would. Poilievre never met a polarizing issue he wouldn't exploit.

Using the Not Withstanding Clause to impose a contract on teachers is not about getting schools open, it's about power. It is simply, an raw attack on freedoms and on labour.
