You may see the old man but look closer and you'll see the lifelong learner, the runner, the wannabe poet and the cineaste who loves stories of humanity and resilience. Family matters (and MCFC is part of my family)
Things I'd like to see for City this season:

- win Champions League;
- say bye to Pep (can't have another season of will he/won't he extend);
- groom O'Reilly as a box to box midfielder (he just makes things happen);
- play Ait-Nouri
- recruit specialist right back;
- get serious pace in defence.

I was never in the camp that thought City were in a title race. Too inconsistent (it happens when building a new team).

We won't go on long winning runs in PL (best we've done so far is 2 consecutive wins). Arsenal will churn out much longer winning runs.

Can't give Foden 7.5. He had the simplest chance of the game, a chance with zero difficulty attached to it, and fluffed it.

As a result we lost.

You can't say: he played really well but cost us the game.

The penalty is controversial. We benefitted from the same decision a few years ago at St James when Ederson took out one of their players after the player had lost the ball.

We also were penalised against Arsenal when Ederson's momentum took him into Saka AFTER he'd got his shot away (we still won)

As Guardiola said time after time: you have to take the referee out of the game.

Make them irrelevant, take your bloody chances.

If we go down the road of blaming refs and looking for conspiracies, then we're doomed. We won 4 titles on the trot by making refs irrelevant.

We lack the physicality to be a top, top team. Rodri and Nico in midfield will adress that

And what has Marmoosh done to get only 10 minutes a game? He needs to start alongside Haaland - if that mean dropping Doku or Cherki, then so be it. If they want to get in ahead of Marmoosh, SCORE MORE GOALS!

On chances, can't really complain. We're not yet consistent enough - no where near the consistency of the great City teams

Say this every time but Savinho is the WORST finisher I've ever seen

The picture is at an angle. I think it probably was onside

Shocking clearance

Just brushing us off the ball. Need to up our game
November 22, 2025 at 6:01 PM
Cherki is giving no cover to Nunes
November 22, 2025 at 5:57 PM
They did the same the last (and only other time) they won the PL. Ended up finishing 7th I think.

Shows how difficult it is to win 2 titles on the bounce, never mind 4.

But plenty of fucking evidence to show there was an incompetent clown as PM. The evidence was overwhelming:

CHAOTIC leadership
DYSFUNCTIONAL leadership
INCOMPETENT leadership

Let the fucking bodies pile high.

We remember, Nelson, we remember.
November 21, 2025 at 9:01 PM
The report is based on limited evidence. Johnson and his cronies 'lost' the most damning stuff from WhatsApp and conveniently 'couldn't remember' many other important points.

Surely now, the Govt has to legislate to make it a criminal offence for key discussions to be done on 'insecure' platforms?
November 21, 2025 at 1:22 PM
And this report is based only on the evidence that these lying scumbags gave. Imagine how bad it would have been if:

a) Johnson et al could actually remember anything they did; and
b) hadn't deleted the most damaging WhatsApp messages.

But it's all consequence free for them.

Freezing tax thresholds is a bigger burden on otdinary people than the super-rich.

I'm fucked off that they won't tax the super-rich. And we know every extra fucking penny they take from us will be go TO the super-rich.

How much have they recovered from the super-rich Covid contract cons?

Or I Shot The Sheriff (but I didn't shoot the deputy, honest)
November 13, 2025 at 12:29 PM
Nah, they aren't. They just tied down Savio to a long term contract, Doku is growing week by week, Cherki is the man, Bobb's potential is through the roof.

They need a replacement for Bernardo if he goes but it ain't Vinicius.

Here we go again:

1. Prime Minister before party
2. Party before country
.

.
.
Nth. Needs of ordinary people.

It's 3 years wages for that Muskrat fella. Surely a country can survive the loss of 3 x ONE person's wages? What kind of Mickey Mouse outfit is running the show?

The same Barney Ronay that declared Liverpool had won the transfer window. Now says dealings didn't make sense. Sigh.

Also, it was only 2 weeks ago that the Guardian asked whether the title race was over following City's loss to Villa.

They really are fuckwits.

Arne Slot’s big mistake at Liverpool this season? Failing to drop struggling Salah | Barney Ronay
Mohamed Salah has drifted from crucial to peripheral in big games, and Arne Slot’s decision to keep picking him is strange

The main purpose of this, of course, is to bully officials into making sure all questionable decisions go their way in future.

It's good that they are focusing on this rather than at their own ineptitude. The longer they believe it was down to poor officiating, the further behind they will fall.
November 10, 2025 at 9:24 PM
I've enjoyed City's last 2 performances - but I still don't have the same level of trust in this team as in earlier versions.

So I am simply unable to feel confident about the game today. I am fully expecting a loss.

There, I've said it.

Starmer would have to pull his head out of Trump's arse to do that. Unfortunately, it's so far up there that it would need major surgery.
