I did this repaint of a World of Warcraft Blood Elf shield on Twitch art stream last week. This activity is such a nice support for my ego! I really recommend it as a training wheels way to practice with painting!

Really finding that streaming on Twitch is a godsend for my attention span. It makes it so much easier when my hobbies are social again TT_TT !! It's been drawing, Zelda, and Pokemon so far; this week I have been streaming for my 20th WoW anniversary (which was yesterday!) touring through the highs!

Finished this painting practice redraw copy of official Lapras Pokemon art.

I redrew an Espeon from the anime! Excited that I am able to look at the reference and slightly stylize it towards the proportions I really like seeing.

@ampharosloaf.bsky.social posts the same picture every day and I wanted to draw but couldn't pick what. So I drew Ampharos.

I'm looking for tips/feedback from skilled-artists-in-progress about developing line control (consistency, direction) and sharp, detailed shapes (fantasy realism). Attempting to work on an art habit so I can progress again. I don't want to stop doing the sketch lines - I think they're super interesting - but I do want to have more control over the shape of my lines overall so I can increase definition and reduce marshmallowness. No ref, Rebelle 7 pro, ~45min.

Draw for an hour a day INSTEAD OF doomscrolling on socials for an hour a day.

Succeeded in taking out the tablet and doing a soft healing painting to salve some frustration I have with not doing anything with my freetime I care about and feel satisfied with. It's Ampharos and Hello Kitty, and they are holding hands, and the world is soft and safe there.

You are far more powerful than you believe.

Avoid scrolling during droughts of inspiration or moments of low motivation. Social media will drain your dopamine—and we need dopamine to feel motivated!

Instead, try:
- walking in nature
- exercise or yoga
- automatic drawing/writing
- sitting in the sun

Really hyped about how day 2 of getting back into digital art/painting is going. (References on left; my copies on right.)
