Ok, apparently I didn't do enough digging; the job opening for AI specialist does specifically mention "image generation", which is concerning, to say the least.
I still hold that an AI Uma is not likely, but I'll be watching this story closely, for sure.

I wouldn't say I'm particularly happy about it, but I will reserve judgement until we actually see what the output from this is. AI is a very broad term; I very much doubt we'll be seeing a fully-generated Uma.

Finished up the main game of Z-A the other day. All in all, it's a good game; I have some issues regarding the pacing early on, and some attacks feel a bit imbalanced.
The characters are great, the Rogue Megas are fun, and I was glad to see some dungeon areas, even if they are somewhat short.

I think most of the areas of criticism in Pokemon are products of the tight development times these games have.
Time Stranger was first announced in 2017, whereas the earliest known alpha for Z-A was in 2022, which doesn't make a ton of sense for how big Pokemon is, but that's just how is.

I don't even think Pokemon is in that "bad" of a place right now.
I have some misgivings with Z-A, but I've mostly enjoyed it.
I'm not a Digimon guy personally, but I don't really view it as an analog to Pokemon; it feels far more akin to MegaTen/Persona.
