What does being a charity trustee at Starcatchers mean? Being a charity trustee means you are fully responsible for how Starcatchers is run and what it does. It does not mean running the charity on a day to day basis and making operational decisions. Starcatchers staff does this. What will I be supporting Starcatchers to do as a board member? You will be helping Starcatchers staff to ensure consistent early access to the arts from birth. Supporting us in our pursuit to create and deliver creative experiences to babies and their grown-ups across Scotland in an accessible and sustainable way. What kind of commitment would I be making? Trustees are expected to attend Board meetings, which are held four times a year, currently on Tuesday evenings, usually in February, May, September and November. These are held online, with one in person meeting in Edinburgh (usually November). There is also an annual Board development day that Trustees are expected to attend. Travel, accommodation and childcare expenses are available for all meetings for those who live outwith Edinburgh, as well as support with access requirements and reasonable adjustments. How do I apply?
