Anyone have non-drug bingeing habits? Like I almost never play video games but 3-4 times a year I load up Civ VI and I literally cannot leave my computer for ~20 hours. I turn into a complete degenerate and I can’t help myself.

When I was a kid “skeet” was immortalized by Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz. It wasn’t so much a real word as it was the energy of hyping something up. The raw essence of jubilation, if you will. It also meant ejaculate, I think. I think it’s fitting that we’re all using it here to come together.

On weighing decisions, Søren Kierkegaard said “Do it or do not do it—you will regret both” which I thought meant there is an inherent arbitrariness in our decision-making, since the gratification from our choice is extinguished by doubt and mourning for the foregone alternative.

This is still my advice: Become a writer anyway. Fuck it, do it, it won't save you, but it's still a beautiful dream to write novels and short stories and poems and mingle with other dreamers and make art and laugh in the face of death. And writing is constant death. Live más.
