I could try and brute force the rest of my Mega Man X playthroughs but I can feel the momentum dying when I took multiple day long breaks to just do X1. Simultaneously a lot of what I always wanted from Mega Man, but oh my god the burnout. May be time to do Demon Turf before Demon Tides is out.

I don't think either Infinite Wealth or Yakuza 3 were nearly good enough to be pulling the AAA franchise pricing on this series, man.

I didn't have a bad teacher for fighting games but throwing myself into Killer Instinct ranked and Xrd lobbies and getting too salty to take/understand advice from experienced players on how to learn more easily probably wasn't much better.

All comes back to a combination of "Well this is what I had to put up with" and an ever-present inability to read the room.

Oh yeah the core game has been basically the same since the betas really, so it's pretty noticeable there hasn't been like a big new mechanic or just a Super SF6-esque patch yet. If you only just got it you won't feel that for a long while though.

Mika and a newcomer would be pretty good if the rumors hold up. Sakura is Sakura and now she will have the Drive system. Vega depends on if they commit to his weird 5 moveset with V-system stuff brought over, or just start over with a new concept.

Season 5 will thus conclude SF6 on Balrog, Sean, Dan but not as interesting, and for the big finish! Morrigan With No Rubberhose Animations. No this does not mean Darkstalkers 4 or Capcom All Stars.

To say that even with the relative slowness of console development there was plenty of room for attempted copycats and iteration on Smash that just seemed to not happen much or at all.

Now I'm wondering if there were any original IP platform fighters released between 64 and Brawl. I know there were some other IP based ones but it feels like even for the overall industry the genre basically got ignored or accepted as Smash's domain.
