Today, the council unanimously approved my motion to improve & expand access to emergency day shelters & dedicated day shelter spaces for the winter of 25/26
What does this mean?
It means that people experiencing homelessness will now have more places to go during the day to receive support & care

Nenshi and the Alberta NDP have just made what appears to be one of their first campaign promises!
Not only will they never use the notwithstanding clause, they’ll pursue legislation to make sure future governments don’t use it unless as a last resort.

Not a single UCP MLA voted against dear leader's wishes, even in her absence. Every single one of them stood (many times) in order to strip teachers like me (about 51 000 Albertans) of our rights as workers.
Shame.

It seems that the biggest error was Roger Kotch's vote going down 708 votes and Thu Parmar going up 613 votes from the initial count. It seems likely that Parmar's votes were accidentally counted/entered for Kotch.
