@patrick.risky.biz Hey Pat, listening to the recent episode of Risky Biz right now and wanted to offer a minor correction regarding npm/shai hulud.

Adam mentioned that npmjs.com was introducing a human factor to the publishing process, but the opposite is actually the case. 1/x

Of all UI frameworks I've worked with, @emberjs.com and @solidjs.com (although quite different in paradigm) just get the the most things right (caution: personal opinion). So happy to see both thriving.
We just crossed 1 million downloads a week! 🎉🚀

Besides OData and json:api, what REST specifications do people use (if they do use one at all)? Doing some research on this topic.

This is the truth.
There's no way to scare me faster than telling me you have a REST or ActiveRecord API. These "formats" are lossy - they fail to communicate many key bits of information about the data in transit.

Use jsonapi.org folks, stop building brittle endpoints 🙈

Research from 2022 that every Democrat apologist should chew on:
“We do not find any evidence that accommodative strategies reduce radical right support. If anything, our results suggest that they lead to more voters defecting to the radical right.“

Got a monorepo with a bunch of JavaScript libraries mostly for personal use, but seeing some adoption e.g. at my workplace as word gets around. Decided I'd need to improve documentation. Wanted to closely stick to docs-as-code with JSDoc/TSDoc providing 99% of context. 1/x

Been trying solid lately and not gonna lie, it's ticking basically all my boxes.

Reactivity is (almost) as ergonomic as in ember, but it has the benefit of being able to profit of JSX' wide-spread support. Ergonomics in React and Vue feel like a joke in comparison.

This is very true. I spent the last days working on a side project. Today I felt burned out and decided to game all day. It was great. Watch your stress level, folks!
Anytime I feel miserable because I don't do enough, or feel burned out from some activities, that's a reminder that I'm probably creating more than I'm consuming.

Solution to that is to consume. Read a book, watch a movie, listen to a song. Get inspired by getting to the other side of the wall.
