It really is absurd that the orange one tried to get his buddies on the Supreme Court to let him withhold food from people and Democrats are getting blame over the shutdown.

But subsidies to help people afford their health insurance is bad. Crazy
The Trump admin seems set to force two Colorado coal plants to stay open past their planned closure this year, even as the costs of keeping an aging, unnecessary Michigan coal plant running through the summer top $80M. Are more must-run orders coming?

Trump’s DOE may soon force more coal plants to stay open
Colorado coal plants are likely to face DOE orders to keep running past planned closure dates, even as the costs of keeping an old Michigan plant open…

Kind of wild that while food assistance was withheld from millions of families, one Trump-supporting billionaire (Ellison) saw his net worth grow more this year than the entire SNAP budget. And the YTD gains of the other four richest men would’ve fully covered salaries for all 2M federal employees.

I’m repulsed by the Democrats who caved but Democrats are the only party that has ever tried to help people get health insurance.

Maybe when Republicans with Obamacare lose their insurance, they will have a moment of clarity

Republicans have been working against people having health insurance for a long, long time

The tectonic plates of Democratic policies have shifted. The elected officials who don’t acknowledge that will be left behind.

I’m going to be much more strategic in giving money in response to texts. I reply “stop” to many of them. I am going to contribute directly to candidates.

Democrats wanted to give families food, pay workers, and get home for the holidays. The House has to come back into session, swearing in Adelita Grijalva will force the release of the Epstein files. Stay tuned. #wtpBLUE #DemVoice1 #ProudBlue #VoteBlue2026

This hidden provision is so crooked and selfish, it doesn't even apply to US Representatives. Just US Senators.
Look at this new outrage. To open govt, we're retroactively letting 8 Senators sue for $500K each over having had their J6 phone toll records looked at. www.nytimes.com/2025/11/10/u...

We need to thoroughly clean out the Augean stables- starting w Chuck Schumer.

Democrats better be absolutely ready for the midterms.

I think Schumer should step down. He is not up to the challenge of the times.

This is really good to see: Miki Sherrill just put out a statement sharply criticizing the Senate Dems' pending cave in the government shutdown, ripping it as "malpractice" and a betrayal of the people who are "counting on us to fight for them." Sherrill knows what drove her victory. Wake up, Dems.

Trump’s plan—send the money to the people (won’t happen) so they can pay the money to insurance companies…with zero ACA protections.

Reminder of some of the protections ACA offers:
Young adults (age 26 and under) on their parents’ plan, people with disabilities, woman, pregnancies, preventative
Trump wants to end the ACA. He said Republicans should send ACA payments meant for insurers directly to Americans.

The math isn’t mathing. My premium’s up way more than the tax credit, and everyone’s costs are different. How would they manage that when they can’t manage basic governance?
