We've had a lovely time at Downey House this afternoon! Our carers appreciated the chance to connect & share experiences in our private room and their loved ones had a blast with singing, quizzes, bingo & learning some Cockney rhyming slang. #oldham #dementia #carers #royton #LivingWellWithDementia

We start November with our annual members trip to @Ossymill for shopping, lunch & cabaret, then back at Downey House with #ReadingFriends, followed by pampering with @ageukoldham and end the month with a bang celebrating Lancashire Day

Many members said they lost close friends or family after their diagnosis of dementia. While they may forget things, they can still feel lonely & abandoned. You don’t have to do much, take them out for a walk or sit and watch tv whilst their carer takes a much needed rest. #Oldham #Dementia #Carers
