The fact that an Afghanistan women's refugee team is now playing in a FIFA-sanctioned tournament is that little glint of light that we all need.

🚨 @humanrightswatch.bsky.social published reporting today on hundreds of unpaid migrant workers in Saudi Arabia.

Employed by Sendan International, they were stranded without pay for up to 8 months, and forced into undocumented status or left with no choice but to return home at their own expense
