I never know what to say for my first posts on a new social media account 😐
I guess I’ll just say Hi! I’m a senior animator at Sony Pictures Imageworks and the latest project I worked on was KPop Demon Hunters

You'll notice REAL quick the actors that are cool with AI voices are the ones who have job security, the ones who can predict future income. And there's a fucking reason for that. Because they can trust that their consent will be respected until it doesn't matter anymore.

We are SO close to a deal. We've moved as far in their direction as most of us are comfortable. They are still holding to a couple proposals that we simply cannot accept. They could agree to our latest counter, end this strike, and put us back to work at any time. #SAGAFTRAstrong #LevelUpTheContract

Support actors who’re losing roles to the strike. These scenarios are really complex, & some *literally* can’t afford to miss a role so it’s important to have nuance with these things. But at the end of the day there are actors losing career defining roles to fight for us. Support THEM.

Sorry if this is nonsensical but gameplay loop of Monster Hunter kinda reminds me of Pokémon. Not in the sense that you’re going around capturing and battling monsters, but that you’re a human entering an incredible live ecosystem and learning how to live alongside the creatures who inhabit it

I love being a recording engineer & working in anime.. But it's definitely a job that feels thankless until people feel obligated to do so. And even then some people are assholes about it.
I'm not in this for admiration, but maybe proper credit & comparable pay to the actors isn't a lot to ask for.

I personally believe that voice actors deserve infinitely more credit/respect, and fair treatment across the board. Not thrown a bone so they can go earn money on the convention circuit/streaming.
It should not be fans exclusively making voice actors feel valued. The job itself should also.
