Swapped out that Red Card for a Costco membership.

I can't lie: I've been missing strolling those shiny aisles since February. But money talks, and Target has already lost thousands of dollars of ours.

Advocating for the right to vote on an overlay, which only *begins* with a city-altering rich people’s toybox, will have you called: idiot, sheep, fool, NIMBY, and more.

And this by other progressives!

Yesterday the RP-C library hosted a Drag Queen story hour; there were mutterings from the MAHAs re: protesting. Well, they clucked off (yay!), but there WAS a nice crowd of young people to counter. Flags, bubbles, colors. Bit out of place as a Basic Old, but I take library inclusivity seriously!

My son & I were discussing the hotel/etc. overlay plan for Petaluma's historic downtown. As a cinephile, something hit me that I don't think has been given much heed: it's a great filming location for architectural character.

A valuable heritage to jeopardize courting money of wealthy visitors.

The flock is back to graze at Arroyo Park!

Transhumance is this weekend, too. I'm determined to see the herding up D Street -- I've never managed to make it before.

It’s nice how they’ve replicated the middle school dynamic of the insecure bully and his sniveling sidekick picking on someone surrounded by a circle of scared little boys who also try to talk shit so the bully doesn’t come after them.

Or as the right calls it, “masculinity.”
GLENN: Why don't you wear a suit? You're at the highest level in this country's office & you refuse to wear a suit. A lot of Americans have problems with you not respecting the office.

ZELENSKYY: I will wear a costume after this war will finish. Maybe something like yours. Maybe something better.

I stayed at the iconic TWA hotel at JFK a couple weeks ago, where I picked up the few souvenirs I could afford after the room rates!

I repeat: Bloody. Hell. 😳
What does it feel like to evacuate a plane that's flipped upside down on the runway? Pete Koukov filmed his evacuation from Delta flight 4819 and posted it on Instagram. Caption: "being alive feels pretty cool today" www.instagram.com/p/DGMEswSp9Vk/

For history, we’re covering WWI. I make heavy use of PBS in most units.

I’m (re)learning about the Sedition Act, and how far-reaching and brutal it was. Internment, imprisonment, worse. I’m terrified that this may be next for us — the criminalization of verbal dissent.
