I've tried explaining your misunderstanding of my claim multiple times. I am not claiming people consciously think Avatar is irrelevant culturally because there aren't toys. At this point, I must assume you get a perverse pleasure out of being wrong.

Yes, a straw man is what you are doing right now. I never said "people think cultural impact=toy sales". I'm saying in a hypothetical world with a million cheap Avatar toys, people wouldn't make this argument. It's called a hypothetical and is a common form of argument.
