There’s a lot to be concerned about in the Children’s Wellbeing Bill but the stronger stance on school uniform costs is positive, proposing a cap of 3 branded items giving families more freedom to buy cheaper alternatives.
A small but important step in tackling uniform poverty.

Lots of talk currently about breakfast clubs and free school meals, but it’s not just the provision of them but the content that matters. This was the sole piece of fruit provided in my son’s school lunch today - 3 grapes. We have so much work to do…..

We didn’t set out to be a homelessness org, we support struggling families. But the gaps in services meant we’ve been helping rough sleepers since day one. Torbay Councils new Homelessness Strategy didn’t consult Punk Against Poverty, missing valuable feedback from those who know the reality.

It’s been 2 months since Frankenstein & his sister arrived in England after we rescued them from the Cyprus streets and I feel it’s safe to say they’ve relaxed into life in England pretty well.
