About one a day I will unpause my headphones to go back to the podcast I was listening to and instead it will start playing “The Middle” by Zedd instead. That was Russell’s favorite song at the time he died. We would belt it in the car in a fit of giggles. I haven’t intentionally played it in years.

One of those nights where I just say “fuck it, why not?”

24 years of this fucking pain and yet every goddamn month it takes my breath away. I pride myself on my pain tolerance but there’s just no preparing to be gut like a fish on a regular basis.

Made the mistake of doing a sleep. Now I shall never sleep again.

I’m trying so hard not to get overly excited about this job. But they threw us a party Friday, paid for lunch today, bought a turkey for every employee plus extras for their extended fam and gave us two paid days off this week. Let alone the massive holiday party I’m organizing.
