The furry fandom is going to become a lifeline and anchor for so many people. A place where they can still be themselves, safely.

This show I wrote for my master’s thesis in 2012 is probably a little saccharine, but maybe it will bring someone a needed boost.

Oh! New followers!

Hi! I assume you came here
From the Furry Writers starter pack. Welcome!

A few things!

- I am vehemently against generative AI, even for “research” or “brainstorming. I will say things that hurt AI bro feelings.

- my writing has been slow/nonexistent for years.

Saw a lot of headlines saying "wikipedia is embracing ai" being tossed around tabloids, and I'm pretty sure they were maliciously written to make you feel a certain way about Wikipedia. What's actually happening is that wikipedia is demanding payment for data scraping and the corpos don't like that.
Sure. AI companies have ALWAYS been training their models on Wikipedia content, which under the free and open access model is available to anyone — including AI companies. Agreements like these require AI companies to limit and offset the strain they place on Wikimedia infrastructure.

Wikipedia is not “making AI Partnerships”

Ffs read the goddamn article. The AI scrapers have been fucking them for a while so they expanded the program of forcing those companies to pay money.

This technique right here is the one my ex could not explain to me in words or execute in a way I could watch.

Art is by her. She did it to demonstrate but failed to convey the technique in a way my brain could understand

I know some big name old school artists in Furry still work in traditional media but I see so little of it these days.

I miss discussions of Prisma versus Prang just straight crayola colored pencils, or comparing Pitt and Micron pens for inking, or Prisma vs Copic.

And I miss the art styles.

"AI/Human 'artists' are not a binary." LOL. LMAO.

Yes. Either you use the plagiarism engine to generate your little poop and blood sculpture by stealing from others or you don't. These little machine people with machine minds and machine hearts want to nitpick a fairly straightforward stance.

Friend was venting a bit about struggling with "moot perception" and I think in 2026 some of you need to regain control and agency of your spaces. Having the "what will my followers think" mindset is self-harming. It's your account, with your rules, and every follower is a guest. Don't forget that.

The worst sin that the leftists of my lifetime have committed is honestly making a whole bunch of LGBT kids feel like their identity is frivolous and tertiary at best to things that are Actually Important. It started the second gay marriage was legalized.
so much of pop culture and particularly gay/queer pop culture has been captured by dumb-ass pop wisdom, its wild to see people who are/will be victimized for their identity go all in on the "identity politics is a distraction" crowd because space socialism will do away with homophobia or something

Reminded once again tonight why I don’t often do endgame content in MMOs.

I started reading the newest Green Rider book recently, to cleanse my palate from the work stuff.

I do dig the series and how the first book really had a lot of LotR influence on display, but Kristen Britain has really expanded and refined the world since.

Doomsday is gonna be 3:45. Good.

It’s an ensemble cast movie with a lot of characters that need time, and from the speculation, a fairly complex plot.

I think we need movies that long. Not all movies but a decent plurality.

Give those of us who love long form entertainment some love.

I just want to make something explicitly clear as a publisher.

If you are using generative AI, we will not work with you.

No AI art, writing, brainstorming, nothing.

I won't entertain any debate or attempts to get us to change this policy.
Since it apparently must be said again:

The use of Generative AI at any point in the composition of a piece of writing does mean, according to our policies, that it is ineligible to be read on The Voice of Dog.

"Just for research" is not an acceptable excuse.

While I’m talking about acting, here’s a nuclear take:

The Authorship Question about Shakespeare is just “ancient aliens” for English literature nerds.

What they don't tell you about a career in voice over is that sometimes you get to be the cool villain or the sly rogue. But a lot of times you are "Guards" whose lines are mostly combat effort sounds like "ripped apart by a lighting rooster" and "Falls from the sky to their death."
