Leaving the ECHR is just another "cause" that right-wing lunatics can latch onto.

It's Brexit 2.

And like the original most people backing, it don't understand it, don't really believe in what they
are doing and do not care one jot what havoc it causes.

There are a lot of idiots enraged by this misleading Times headline.

The article itself - yes, the exact same one - points out that:

A) In any typical year, about 50 independent schools close

B) More independent schools opened than shut, so the overall number went up.

But that's far too nuanced.

In the UK they are getting ready for Trump's visit by putting up pictures of him with Epstein everywhere.

I salute the Brits for their commitment to trolling Trump

Brexit hasn't been betrayed.

The British people have not been betrayed.

The betrayal was Brexit.

Once that is the established narrative, we can all go forward together.

If this were Just Stop Oil, there'd have been dozens of arrests, furious denunciations in the billionaire press and, perhaps, long jail sentences. Farmers have a right to protest, and the police respect it. Other people, it seems, not so much.

And yet weirdly, the Brexiters are all jolly angry about it.

Wonder why.
