🎶All my mornings are Mondays / Stuck in an endless February 🎶

There’s a low-fi instrumental version of this song playing as a bumper on SXM Chill, and I have repeatedly failed to track it down. Attempt #47 at least.

Another late night lost in America. Everyone I ghosted, &c.

For anyone following the El Paso story, CNN just updated its live coverage with more information than anyone else has, even Reuters. Follow their coverage here:

El Paso TFR is not like the 9/11 nationwide airspace shutdown. DC & NY restrictions were created later. A ban on all flights over a U.S. city—including medevac and police helicopters—has no modern precedent.-CNN

The FAA has issued a separate security NOTAM for Santa Teresa, New Mexico, banning all flight operations in the affected area for the same time window and altitude limits as the El Paso airspace closure, citing “special security reasons.”

See, if I were the clue writer, I would have said Shah Rukh, Aamir or Salman.

Just got this notification from @economist.com. Oppenheimer’s quote before TPTB took him down—more relevant now than ever, and now, there are more than two scorpions in the bottle. And Margot Robbie has a new movie premiering this weekend.

Barbenheimer was a warning we didn’t heed.

Opened Bsky to post about it, and this is the first post I saw. The initial reviews are TARE-EE-BEE-LAY. And even though I’ve never read it or seen any screen adaptation of Wuthering Heights, I’m still hoping to see it this weekend 🤞. (I didn’t see Saltburn 📽️, which people I trust and like *hated*)
I think the problem with most Wuthering Heights screen adaptations is they they strip down a layered and blistering take on class politics , intimate partner abuse , abuse , mental health and patriarchy into an emotional what love story which is not what the novel is .

I wonder what people watching that OTHER halftime show were feeling.

There are few times anymore when I wish I still had linear TV, but this is one of them. And I know people are gonna say that Gaga’s just doing what Madonna did, because they always say that. But this is different.
Lady Gaga performed a special salsa version of “Die With A Smile” during Bad Bunny’s #SuperBowlLX halftime show!

Holy shit, Ricky Martin IS looking good. He’s about to age out of the News Demographic. In other words, qualify for the 55-And-Up community near him.

Three generations of musicians are in this photo, and we all love them.

OK, everybody’s talking about how Ricky Martin is keeping it young. And I KNOW this isn’t the point. But Gaga never lost it, and she’s still got it. Yes, even after Joker 2 📽️.

Dammit. Gaga was there? And Ricky Martin too? And maybe-but-nobody-is-really-sure-if-it-was-Liam?

Was I there?

Apparently the Dunkin ad just made America even worse than…you know. And it’s all because of Gen X Nostalgia.

It’s the worst thing ever.

#SuperbOwl
Gen X nostalgia/angst is the worst fucking thing in our culture right now. Quote me.
opened bsky to see a convo casually rewriting history to have genx loving /Reagan/ bc that's when we "came of age"

no jfc. most of our boomer /parents/ didn't even love him.

ppl closer to his age did, bc he was a screen idol to them. rightwingers+ evangelicals did. but majority of genx+ boomers no

To my New England friends: I’m so sorry. I could try to pretend that a repost is not an endorsement. But wow, whatever happened in that Dunkin ad, while the Patriots were playing? Uy.
See, this is what happens when we normalize the idea of Boston. We get commericals like that Dunkin' thing.

We need to remind people that it is not okay to Boston.
February 9, 2026 at 1:34 AM
Wow, there is so much salt about the Dunkin ad. And no one is saying what was in it, so those of us without TV will just have to wonder, I guess.

I’ll miss chatting it up with #TNGSunNight tonight, but the draw of the BIG GAME ™️ ©️ ®️ ♾️ will have a critical mass of people out. I get to hit the sack early on a Sunday for once.

At 34:37 into “Series Acclimation Mil,” the latest episode of Starfleet Academy, we see the Hyatt Regency San Francisco, a famous piece of California architecture. Now I wonder: Is this the first time a John Portman building has been seen on Star Trek? (Yes! This is related to Dragon Con!) #TrekSky

This week’s Starfleet Academy is apparently about my least favorite character on the show. Someone I viscerally dislike.

…I’m going in.
