Almost 2 years ago, a call out for testimonial from students about the importance of GSA’s lead to a conversation with folks in Ottawa regarding this national memorial. This week they sent out this for the students. You just never know what may come out things when you toss something out there.

We will look back on this action and recognize it as the crime against humanity that it is. Removing legal recognition for trans people does not make them go away, just as it did not conversely mark the beginning of history for trans people. We have always been there, and always will be.

My jh students today were casually talking about how life was going slow but fast, that they were living their life, but it simultaneously didn’t feel real, the word dissociation was tossed into there. I remember being their age and thoughts like this, when things were objectively somewhat good…
