After a successful juggling weekend with a lot of photography I’m happy to be back to looking at birds. I can kinda guess where they’re going and and how they behave. The same can’t always be said about jugglers. 🪶 #itsabird

Bird photography will always be my favorite but I’ve long wanted to do more wildlife, sports, and events. This weekend I get an opportunity to take some pics at a circus arts variety show and I’m super stoked to learn something new. 🪶 #itsabird

Today my Bird of the Day is the Willet. This one standing on a beach covered in fresh growth. Not a common bird where I’m from so fun bird to see when I do make it to the coast. 🪶 #itsabird

One of the unexpected absolute joys of my life is now whenever I travel I make time for birding. I get to see more and feel more connected to the places I find myself in. 🪶 #itsabird

Cranes have been coming up in my little bubble a lot lately so I thought I’d post one. This one goes back a ways (2022) but remains as one of my best Sandhill photos. 🪶 #itsabird.

It was nice this weekend to connect with neighbors and talk about how thankful we are for each other’s support. It’s little consolation for everything that’s going on but it did feel good to know we’re all in this together. 🪶 #itsabird

It’s incredibly heartwarming to see so many folks turn out to stand up against government sanctioned bullying. We will win and together we can make a better tomorrow. 🪶 #itsabird

Another harbinger of good fortune is said to be the Magpie. The news is as brutal as the temps heading this way but the tides will change. The resolve here continues to be a source of hope. 🪶 #itsabird

I’m given to understand that a Bluebird is a symbol of hope and good fortune and we could use heaps of that now so it’ll do nicely for my Bird of the Day. 🪶 #itsabird

This is my bird feeder with a House Finch on it. Today in my neighborhood we saw the US government take an innocent woman’s life. This was done because a man is afraid of the pressure to reveal his past and to punish folks that don’t agree with him. 🪶 #itsabird

Today my Bird of the Day is the White-breasted nuthatch. A wonderful little Minnesota winter resident that is generally found upside down but on occasion finds itself on top of a branch. 🪶 #itsabird
