Shoulders! Of course!
Does one direction (and/or getting the tassels going in opposite directions) come more naturally than the other?

I'll take a peek.

Definitely not too young. I was the same age and I turned out fine!

My autocorrect keeps changing The Donner Party to The Dinner Party. It's not completely wrong.

I liked Fairy Tale very much. I've been reading a stephen King since I was way too young.
Currently reading The Indifferent Stars Above about the Donner Party. It's fascinating and horrifying.

The ice under the snow stinks for driving, but it's perfect for sledding. Look out, kids!

If you get up early, and don't mind the 15 degree temps or 30mph wind gusts, you can have Max Patch all to yourself.

The Ghost and Mr. Chicken. It holds up!

The Lady From the Black Lagoon- true story of the only woman to create a Universal Monster. She was given full credit. haha, of course she wasn't.

Circe- I want to be her when I grow up.

The Five- true story of Jack the Ripper's victims, and the messed up society they lived in.

Salt- it's the history of salt... freaking fascinating!

Born a Crime- funny, tragic and I learned more about apartheid than I did in school.

I joined the library and Storygraph, and doubled the amount of books I usually read in a year. Some are really out of the box for me... based on genre challenges, books found in little libraries, and recommendations from friends and strangers. Some favorites in the comments.

Yes! Why I Live at the PO was my gateway.

I finally read Rebecca this year. I have other books of hers on my list.

Also reading The Collected Stories of Eudora Welty. I'm a fan of Shirley Jackson and Flannery O'Connor (except for the racist parts). I don't know how I only just heard about Eudora Welty, I love it. If I can finish one of these, I'll have read 52 books this year. I think my previous record was 10.

The Wedding People. I'm in a book club of two, and this was the other person's pick. I don't normally read books like this, and the subject matter is too close to home in many ways. I'm scanning to get through it.

Yay, Tolstoy. On my list.

I'm reading several. The Forever War: America's Unending Conflict With Itself. Fascinating read on how we got where we currently are politically, and why it was inevitable and we shouldn't be surprised. Grim.

"Children must be supervised at all times, especially in the outer reaches of the bog, where the fog rolls in and the crawdads scream their lamentations. We’ve gotten reports of toddlers being swapped out for changelings on the marshy banks."
