and Multiply layers to get the values and hues I want. This is basically it, but feel free to ask anything. I really recommend experimenting with the pencil tools in whatever software you have; we usually keep think they're just for sketching but I find they work great for polished work, too.

or a cool white gets pinks or yellows. It's a tricky part, I often overdo it and accidentally make it look like a rainbow, lol. But then I redo or lightly paint over it with a single color to turn it more monochrome. After I have the flats and shading mostly done, I fiddle with Color, Color dodge

Oh wow, I'm flattered that my stuff could inspire you! :) For both lineart and coloring, I use the pencil tool on Clip Studio, specifically the design pencil. It has a nice textured, watercolor-y look and it's very pressure-sensitive, so lighter strokes create pastel colors, while heavy strokes
