FINALLY got POTS diagnosis after five years of cardiologists failing to explain it away
Problem: I call it HOTS cos it's more the same thing, but triggered by temperature and of course, the the tilt table test is done in a nicely air conditioned office so it wouldn't show up.

We CAN just READ about disaster and LEARN from other experiences! That IS an option!
This is a very good point and it explains a lot. Ralph Hertwig and I discussed the behavioural evidence for this process (i.e., happiness-bred complacency) in a recent piece here: theconversation.com/the-paradox-... People need daily reminders and hands-on experience with what tyranny really means.
