I somehoww skipped the entire Windows Vista / 7 era. My computing history goes like Win 95 -> WinXP -> Ubuntu -> Win 8.1 -> Win10/11 -> Fedora.

There are somethings so frustrating about LibreOffice. I was feeling pretty good after transferring over most of my workflow to Linux until I came across a spreadsheet where I had to apply a thick border for a table. This is a basic function!! and a one so obvious 🥲.

Turned the solar plant at home on today. Its a 3kW system, which is plenty for the household usage currently. produced 13kWh in a slightly overcast sky. #solarpunk

Switched to Libreoffice Calc for an experiment and I feel so unproductive. The tool can do what I need to do, but the years of conditioning on Excel makes slower by a big factor. Will try to stick with the experiment and see if I can speed up.

In my state, the Police apparently solved a case using "AI". It seems they have access to a system to do face recognition on photos shared online (clearview(?)).
