So "The Network State" cult book is uhh... seems to be advocating for a return to 'terra nullius', which as an Australian, I can tell you right now is one of those dog whistle terms

Thank u @edzitron.com for directly calling out tech companies who use disability as a way to hide from criticism. Sick to death of "its for disabilities!" As an excuse to make products that ignore science and lived experience. We are not jargon buzzwords.

Nothing makes me appreciate optical sciences like being able to transform a regular #dslr camera body into a proper close up shooting rig with realistically, nothing more added to it than a long dark tube #photography #macro

There's only two genders of #photography 'how to' articles: either buy a super expensive piece of equipment, or do some heinous shit to your gear with sand and duct tape.

The dirty secret about #AI is that it won't be used to replace domestic chores, because that labour is not seen as valuable enough to automate, and the act of doing so would require much more intense technical development than just text/image gen, despite the massive life improvements it could cause

I dont care if you're #disabled for 3 days or 3 decades, you can use the term as you feel you need. Wanna say you used to be disabled? Absoloutely fine. Wanna say you'll always be disabled? Go for it love, yell it. Not the right word for you? Valid as heck, explore what feels good for you
