Hideo Kojima has an amazing idea for a "Forgetting Game" where the main character gradually forgets important information and abilities if you take too long a break from playing.

Have you thought to yourself “gee turn-based combat works but I wish I could parry and dodge?” Do you like pretty things? Have you enjoyed a narrative? Have you said “hon hon oui oui baguette” one (1) time in your life? Ask your doctor if Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is right for you

You should go play UNBEATABLE on steam if you wanna be cool and stuff, like @dcellgames.com says music is illegal and you commit crimes, what more do you want

Arctic foxes are perfect and I love them (she just woke up from a nap when we saw her)

So like it’s been months and ISAT (In Stars and Time) remains absolutely GOATed, but underappreciated aspect I think: what a soundtrack! I still regularly listen to I WON’T LET YOU GO HOME and Do You Remember cause they’re so damn effective

See recent repost: I really really loved tainted cup, along with the other 3 books (Foundryside et. al.) I’ve read by Robert Jackson Bennett, and I’m super stoked to be mentally present for tainted cup’s sequel

Alright well Paladin’s Grace (also by @tkingfisher.com) was just so god damn good I honestly forgot I bought it out of a romantasy section. Good lord it was so compelling and interesting! And the romance was so good! Ahhhhhhhhhhh why does hardly anyone carry this book let alone the sequels ahhhhhhhh

And just like that, A Sorceress Comes to Call by @tkingfisher.com enters the vaunted halls of “book I just kept reading until it was done even though I knew I’d be super tired the next day”
Unsettling, exciting, sad, hopeful, sweet, romantic at times, and I really just…

Another update: In Stars and Time has had a stranglehold on my brain for a few days after finishing it. I think this firmly puts it among my favorite games ever

Update: finished In Stars and Time. Emotionally devastating, never so clearly gone “mmmmmm yep that feels a little too familiar to irl depressive episodes” in…any piece of media? The creative use of text especially elevated it imo
And poor Loop :(

The Last Gifts of the Universe was a very enjoyable read about overcoming grief and hopelessness at the end of the universe. Would recommend.
