Ok... I kinda like how it looks dirty and muddied? Almost graffiti like. I don't know. I had fun making it at least 😂.

Late to the game, but jumped on this when I learned we have a new Johannes Cabal story! @jonathanlhoward.bsky.social

I've recently learned my favorite way to draw is keeping it small. Baz Lurhmann's Romeo + Juliet has been one of my favorite, if not THE favorite, soundtrack of all time. And since I've been having fun making these artist cards I felt inspired to make one after listening to the soundtrack yet again.

I made an AUDIBLE sound when I saw this at the thrift store. Penny Dreadful is one of my favorite TV shows and I had no idea they made it into a Clue game. Now I just need people to play with me. $10 well spent. Also if you haven't watched this show, what are you waiting for?

mRNA vaccines AREN’T gene therapy because mRNA isn’t a gene—it’s a transcript.

State legislatures are trying to ban life-saving medicines because of falsehoods.

Not just mRNA: also actual gene therapies AND biologic medicines.

Read the science below ⬇️

mRNA vaccines aren't gene therapy, but both are revolutionary scientific innovations
Scientific innovation is under attack by politicians who don't understand it, and it will cost us life-saving medical treatments

My man, Joseph Lister.

Learn more about how he helped to revolutionize Victorian surgery in my book #TheButcheringArt: bookshop.org/p/books/the-...
Lord Joseph Lister died #OTD in 1912, he was 84. Due to his pioneering antiseptic techniques Lister is often referred to as the father of modern surgery. These medals were struck in 1913 to commemorate his contributions to medical science.

I’m usually pretty good about sticking to a healthy diet unless I’m really sad or celebrating or bored or eating out or ordering in or if it’s the weekend or Monday or if there’s something stressful going on

May I get a prescription please?
Welcome, newbies!

“One Night Cough Syrup” from the 1930s contained cannabis, morphine, chloroform, & alcohol. In 1934, the FDA ruled that claims of the cough syrup's therapeutic properties were misleading. Remaining stock was destroyed.

This has been sitting on my shelf for a few years. I got it because I loved the cover art (RIP Rowena Morrill). Finally read it and liked it. Did not know Isobel Gowdie was a real person so RIP to her too apparently. 📚💙 #booksky #paperbacksfromhell

Tell anyone defending Elon Musk to film themselves doing the same “wave” and upload it to the internet. Tell them to share it with their friends and family and employer. If it’s not so bad, what could happen?

For my first official Bluesky post, I'd thought I'd share something a little lighthearted...a visit to see the Jim Henson Exhibit at the Riverfront Museum!

A lesson from the TikTok Affair should be that bipartisan efforts to preserve U.S. national security are vulnerable to the incoming president getting bought off and switching sides for his own personal and political benefit. Not great!
