But what we create with it
Continues to thrive
Within unique entwined hearts
our new expressions blossom

Beware the misted valley bereft of running water. Beneath clouded white, unknown dangers lurk, hidden from the watchful eyes of the world. Those who trespass in the dense, forbidden clouds had best tread lightly and prepare to drop prostrate before the minor dieties that lie in long repose.

Thinking about MUDs and the silly things you can do. Kinda want to write a whole cool area and tie the entry keywords to my character description, so you can Be Devoured Into Them, or as a slime be absorbed and need to navigate their internal ecosystem, or be glamoured into a surreal fey dream...

Some people hold unrealistic fears of cities, but all terrors hold a grain of truth. In the ages before all towns were charted and known, blocks of elaborate urban sprawl could develop overnight with vague figures beckoning within businesses. However, their motions were stilted and greetings hollow.

In every city, there lies one street where they appear. Deep in the night, in the moments between one hour and the next, looming cafaleque figures stalk with predatory intent. Those souls caught in tension between purposes should never peer too closely, lest they be accepted among their sinewy forms
Eerie Palanquins
Spindly limbs suspend veiled truth,
strike slow sanguine songs.
Shades obscure lurch staccato;
stark dance secretes callid lure

In darkness, chords are struck. Slow, melancholic notes of sound echoing from the roof of the building. As dawn begins to paint vibrant rose-gold bands over the horizon, the slow music begins to change into a hopeful salute to the rising sun. Moments later, the dawn breaks in the musician's grin.

Dwarven lore has long supported the claim that vampires cast no reflections, but a less well-known aspect of their semi-corporeality is their heightened visibility to the deceased. Legends tell that if you whisper "Winterthrone" thrice before a darkened mirror, the dead will rise to whisper rumors.

Working as intended; prepare scaffolding for causality collapse or simply avoid digging under acausal trees, as they root not only in the past but also the future

Ah wordlice; those insidious, semi-corporeal vermin that lurk in the damp, rotting apocrypha of dead and dying languages and which only rarely seek to feed upon our still-living definitions, nibbling instead at the connective tissue of connotation, and breeding within the stagnant pools of ambiguity
Aphasia is a related condition wherein one grasps at a word they assume exists, but which has not yet been rebuilt in the collective unconscious. Whole populations have been rendered mute on occasion through this property, whether by deliberate destruction of vocabulary or by pests such as wordlice

I just really like worldbuilding.

Suddenly thinking very hard about a size-changing laser that only goes in one direction and has extremely awkward and subjective size labels on its 11-point dial, from "1-Did you get taller?" to "10-"Your paws make a great skybox!" 11 is just labeled "OH."

If you don't build obvious, self-defeating flaws into the defensive weapons you develop to protect your evil secret lair, what are you even doing, really?

I am suddenly of the opinion that fisherdwarves performing the "capture live fish" job should have a grapple combat against the fish that can be viewed through the log. Physical comedy.

It is unsurprising that repeating a word ad infinitum causes it to feel progressively more alien and nonsensical. By stating a word repeatedly without context, you disrupt the linguistic foundations of that word, and eventually it will be reduced to mere semantic rubble, to the chagrin of scholars

I sincerely love hearing someone say extremely normal and boring things about an everyday moment only for something about it to lodge in my mind

Water is amazing. Called forth to serve from the depths, it comes into your life when you need it most. At one's beckoning, it flows to the side to perform tasks, to be devoured, to share a portion of existence. Our shapes are now more water than not. What more could one expect from one's familiar.
