Pepperidge Farm Soups (1965-circa 1971): A line of canned soups marketed as being gourmet/higher end, but also a celebration of "classic, regional cuisine." They leaned heavily into a salt-of-the-Earth, Americana-themed advertising campaign. See some of the varieties below (🧵)

I hate that "We're not changing anything about our game for overseas audiences" is something that conservative audiences try to frame as a win or "owning the libs" re: gamers when a lot of it boils down to overseas devs seeing that what they were doing before the racism of the 00's is fine again.

The title, .hack//Z.E.R.O has a double meaning. One interpretation is how they're "starting from zero" with this title. The other is that the "dots" between each letter is meant to symbolize something for longtime series fans. They look forward to players' reactions.
