If anybody's paid any attention to me whatsoever, you know I detest Elon musk.

He's not even a real engineer. He just buys them, and the Epstein files released today confirm he's a piece of shit.

ATTN-Elon shareholders at Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink, etc. all he does is lie and you're enablers:

Yes yes journalists arrested today and that's bad.

Meanwhile in late stage capitalism my inbox is blowing up with @alexbores.nyc hate and I honestly can't tell if it's coming from the right or the left.

All I know is he's doing something right.

Don Lemon's arrest is a good point in the timeline to quote a book I burned through last year.

People should support, read, and share high quality investigative print journalism. People are only free and independent because they can tell the truth from falsehoods. — Timothy Snyder, On Tyranny

Hey gang my last grad school class, Biomedical Device Infections, is super so far. Today was all case studies on joint replacement and osseointegration presented by the chief of infectious disease at HSS.

Are y'all just as tired of the massive influx of spammy techbro cold emails? Like... if you're so great Kevin why are you cold emailing a starving grad student? I'm once again thinking about building a "super inbox filter" app. Any appetite for that if I build it?

How many STEM Ph.D.s were lost from the U.S. federal government last year?

My colleagues @mghersher.bsky.social and @policyhound.bsky.social dug into a recent data release to find the answer. A @science.org exclusive.

This has no views on YouTube and I don't care that they're throttling it or that no one will watch the actual sarcopenia science video I linked to it.

The shitstirring title alone makes me chuckle and that's exactly what I need right now. TL;DR — I post for one person... Me. 😁

Yesterday I put aside all my "bipartisan" advocacy for a while.

We can't do business as usual, especially not with Congress when they can stop the madness but would rather bury their heads in the sand until polls say they'll lose their job.

If you need a break from headlines, the Lift & Shift Foundation has a little games and puzzles web app.

I just pushed a big technical update to how pages load. Much faster, more reliable, and code that's easier for our interns to understand.

The Washington Post published a clear video of federal agents removing Alex Pretti's handgun moments before he was fatally shot. There's nothing in the video to suggest Pretti even reached for his weapon.

Maybe this is how we'll all get a break from headlines and terrible trending things this weekend?!?!
Hey, so. The team made this thing. It's a “Live Event” on Discover and Explore for the NFL games. It’s on a predetermined schedule. If you're not in the mood for it, you can dismiss it. It’ll go up later today.

Never shared this here but take the advice if you need it. Once we recover from these Minnesota headlines — we primary every leader and prosecute every henchman. Abolition is the only solution to a police state. Today take care of yourself tho.
