Although it hasn't been feeling that cold today, the flat is currently 14.7 so I've given in and put the storage heater on for the first time. That means by 7:30am it will kick in and I'll be gently cooked by the time my alarm goes off.

Needed a job, agency sent me there, fortunately I was efficient enough for them to keep me. It's not a career, it's a job that I've never left. I have to remind myself regularly of the ultimate end result of what i do every day just to keep myself going.

As @jimofthenorth.bsky.social has left work late and now he's off to a birthday shenanigans I am sat on the sofa in my jammies watching Nativity. The sound of children singing goes straight through me but the rest has got me hooked.

One of the parts I enjoy about going to the Dentist, second only to spending loads of money, is you go in there and you often come out in a worse state than when you went in. I've got 4 weeks to wait for my filling and I'm sure when he was poking around with his pointy stick he's loosened something.

I'm off work next week. In time held tradition my colleague at the next desk has rocked up today with a cold. Three people have said to her "have you got a cold?" and she said I'm not sure. You 110% have a cold AND a cough is developing, could you not have waited until next week when I wasn't there?

I'm off work next week. In time held tradition my colleague at the next desk has rocked up today with a cold. Three people have said to her "have you got a cold?" and she said I'm not sure. You 110% have a cold AND a cough is developing, could you not have waited until next week when I wasn't there?
I had a lovely dream, we were having a sunny afternoon sat in the grounds of a ruined Castle, a band playing on the grass. Someone had given me a tiny kitten to hold, and the most important part is I wasn't stressed about this baby the size of my hand, I just held it while it slept all afternoon.

I've lost my AirPods in my flat. It's not a big flat and my phone knows they're not in the case, but also will not connect to them to make the noise for me to work out where I put them between the lounge and the bedroom. It says try moving to another location, it's literally one of 2 rooms.

Nobody is more surprised than me when something that I have set up in my flat happens. I have a low energy lamp on a timer that comes on in the bedroom so it's not pitch black when I get home after work, that's just come on and made me jump, it also makes me jump when it turns off at bedtime.

I just stuck my head out of the window for my bedtime breath of air - no rain, no wind, no lights on at any of the neighbours, no stars, no cars, and the only distant sound is a ship engine.
I'm watching a recording on my youview box. Right in the middle of a scene of a flashback the screen went dark. I spent that little bit too long thinking it was part of the program before I realised the youview box decided to stop.
