I've known about the impact of #TheJungle on law/social policy for yrs. But I just read it for the 1st time.I've never fully appreciated just how powerful & painful a read it is. #UptonSinclair wasn't Dreiser or Fitzgerald or Steinbeck, but his depiction of immigrant exploitation is agonizing.
