Huh, my second anniversary here.
TBH I'm still not sure how I feel about bsky.

I've been riding the Virginia Canyon trails some lately. Here's the last two minutes of the Drop Shaft blue/black line. It feels a lot steeper than this makes it look.

I milled a custom spacer for the quad rails on a brooks b72 seat for a friend's bikepacking rig. The stock solution is two plastic spacers, that can wrack sideways. This is a low weight high strength ridiculously overdesigned replacement.

When it's -10C outside, I go ride the trials bike until I can't feel my fingers anymore (about 10 minutes) and then I get out the rollers to warm up again. These are amazing because they're simultaneously boring, terrifying, difficult, and a lousy aerobic workout.

This goofball is wearing a onesie, a Columbia brand floofy jacket, a collar, and a harness.
I looked at her and in my best Randy Parker voice said "I can't put my arrrrrrms dowwwnnnn"

Woke up this morning with this guy on my mind and thought "I simply must cross stitch him" and so, hours later, here he is.

When Fox doesn't give you an o-ring so you can set the fork air pressure right by measuring sag, you can always 3D print one in TPU.

Two of my coworkers wanted matching earrings for the Christmas party and somehow decided I'd be the person to ask. I had these left over from when I used to teach glass bead making class, so stuck some titanium ear wires on and they're off to new homes.

So many choices, and it's below freezing outside.
I chose the center one, smashed my shinbone into a park bench, and am now regretting my choices.

I saw a take that was like "bluesky needs an algorithm, I don't want to see 100 posts like 'i made coconut curry today'" and I cannot disagree more. I log on to humanity's World Wide Web to see human thoughts. I do not need a god damned robot to tell me which thoughts it thinks are the most human

Last night I made bread for us and a friend. Wee lil bread loaf. This bread style is called zopf.
The braids allow it to rise without the crust cracking, like the joints in concrete roadways.

As bsky seems to be taking off I'll start actually posting stuff not just lurking.
This is a milled circuit board for destructive testing of a new chip. I have to short every pin to ground and adjacent pins while it's powered up and see what makes it fail and if there's actual flame.

We can be happy Tracy Chapman is getting so much airplay and also mad that yet again it took a white guy covering her music to make it happen.
Did you know Anderson .Paak made an album that's all R&B covers of mainstream pop songs? "Cover Art" 2013.
