The conspiracy theorist part of my brain thinks that ICE officers are only going to wear body cams so they can make fake AI videos and mislead the public. They're already doing that with images, it's only a matter of time until they fake events.

I've been playing the Giant Super Mario Bros romhack and it's a joy to play. You can rampage through the levels, but then some of the platforming can get tricky because you can do things like accidentally destroy the under water pipe exit. It flickers a lot but it's still a technical achievement.

GOG just quietly added a bunch of Final Fantasy games. They have Final Fantasy III (Like the DS one), Final Fantasy IV (3D), Final Fantasy VIII Remastered, and Final Fantasy IX. I'm guessing they will add VII once the new PC version is available. They are all on sale too.

AI trailers and commercials all have 1-second long quick cuts to hide how flawed it all looks, and it STILL ends up looking like weird uncanny valley garbage.

I don't know if it's because we're living through interesting times, or the arctic weather, or because the game releases that I'm most excited for are in a few weeks, but January feels like it's been six months long.
Street Fighter 6 is an excellent fighting game. I appreciate how even the bonus rounds got versus screens where I can make goofy faces. It makes me smile every time.
