Our entire house is OG late 1960s, covered in wood panelling, Tyndall stone, and linoleum. I have absolutely no desire to renovate any of it as long as I draw breath. I’m a grannycore influencer.

As I age I realize I am no longer adventurous/stubborn/passionate Jo March, I am Beth March longing to just be at home and die in my bed and tell everyone HA! NOW IM THE ONE HAVING AN ADVENTURE, SUCK IT! Also there’s a piano.

Yesterday I was exhausted + crampy + sore + ennui’ing, so Peter said “you should have a hot bath!” Which I did, then I crawled into bed, though the duvet was gone, but I did not care, then he came barrelling upstairs & threw the duvet onto me THAT HE HAD PUT IN THE DRYER WHILE I WAS IN THE BATH

It's expensive to have a table at Fan Expo. To walk in & see a booth using stolen art, undercutting artists who kill themselves to get into these shows, is abhorrent. As a show organizer this is a huge insult to the folks giving Informa interest-free loans (table fees) to run these shows.
Today at 3pm if you’re at FanExpo Canada, you should go to Bell’s booth and tell them how abhorrent you find generative AI, which is being done here in violation of the FanExpo vendor contracts
PSA: If you're at FanExpo Canada this weekend, take a moment to stop by the Bell Canada A I Photo Booth to tell them how upsetting it is that they're undercutting the artists of Artist Alley by offering free A I photos (that's trained on the stolen art of creators) to attendees.

Parenting is so great bc every day my kid hits me with bangers like “did you know that when you die, you don’t ever come back?” And you have to smile and say “yes, that’s right,” and be brined in existential dread while he pivots to Legos.

Janice and the committee DID wake up and ask questions…..to the trucking association. I should have dressed up as a truck for my delegation.
Janice Lukes and the councillors on the committee aren’t asking anyone any questions at all, or even acknowledging the raw and emotional things people are sharing. They’re trying to get through this meeting as fast as they can so they can vote to delay safety.
