Incredible - finally he’s brave enough to take on the elephant in our economy. We need growth, this is a turbo shortcut to get it
👏🏽"We must all now confront the reality that the Brexit deal significantly hurt our economy. We have to keep reducing frictions. We have to keep moving towards a closer relationship with the EU. And we have to be grown up about it. To accept that it will require trade-offs."👏🏽

Music to my ears. ~AA

I normally relish the chance of Scottish hearts being broken on the rugby pitch, but not today. They so deserve to get something from today #SCONZL

The Lib Dems really are in a good place

Ed Davey is advocating positions that are popular, distinct from other parties and reflective of his values

Natural, ideologically sound and strategically sensible dividing lines

That’s a formula for political success👇

As I try to exit the lease on my Tesla, I’m starting to look around at other EV’s. The one ‘hold’ Tesla has is the ease of its charging infrastructure and how easy it is to do long trips. Does any other EV have similar mapping and software?

Le Bris really needs to rest some players - Rigg is brilliant, but he's only 17 - and looked paggered last night. Did we not learn anything from last season and Bellingham running out of steam for the second half of the year #SAFC

No shit Sherlock. Reeves has lost all credibility in business circles. And I can assure you, not one business will absorb this. We will cut costs, increase prices, reduce recruitment and lower investment to stay competitive
Chancellor admits it won't be 'easy' for business to absorb costs of national insurance hike
Rachel Reeves also declines to rule out tax rises over the next few years - despite making the promise just last week.

How can anyone claim to be about growth whilst still ignoring the massive opportunity on our doorstep - why is any party so frightened to discuss a EU trade deal
'Mind-boggling' Brexit rules hit British food exports by £3bn a year
British food sales to the EU have fallen by more than 16% on average across the three years since Brexit, a new report found, with businesses blaming new border checks.

A word on the Allison Pearson free speech row, and what she describes as a ‘Kafkaesque’ threat to it. We asked her on @thenewsagents.bsky.social to discuss.
She said: ‘No. And if you get any aspect of the story wrong my lawyers will be watching.’
Gotta love a free speech warrior 🤷🏻‍♂️
