Hurrah! Finally completed Slay the Spire with The Defect unlocking the final character. I did this rather than pack my bags for NFC. It's OK, I've got most of tomorrow yet!

I've got the Winter Olympics on and the Skeleton is an absolutely bonkers event. Whoever thought to make a sport out of throwing yourself down a bobsled track on a tea tray? Also there seems to be a lot of people just being tossed about and still beating the best time. Not sure if that's intentional

Feels like the hype for NFC2026 is heating up. It's becoming difficult to keep track of all the conversations on Telegram. I'm hopeful I'll have a good time, I'm definitely doing all I can to say hello to people. The only downside of the con is that it's so spread out due to its size

In light of this new trailer for Nicolas Cage in Spider-Noir, I think it's about time I gave the Spider-Verse movies a rewatch. Still disappointed we have to wait until 2027 for the concluding part!
I'm quite hyped for the next Forza Horizon. I may just end up getting it on Steam so I don't have to worry about maintaining my Xbox Live account tho

There is a distinct sense of déjà-vu regarding the recent Discord discourse. We went through all of that last year when the age verification was enforced in the UK so it just seems like all the same points and memes are being made this time around!

Seems everyone has had a good time at Scotiacon. I decided to aim for NFC for this year as doing both seems crazy (though it seems quite a few are doing that!). I'll see how NFC goes but afterwards, I'll make a decision about which to do next year (assuming I can get a space of course)

Bumped into a colleague at work who I don't see that often. They asked if I was looking forward to my time off and asked if I was going to get a tan. I had to laugh as I told them I'm going to Denmark 😆. Not getting a tan there!

1 week now until I'm flying off to Scandinavia. Got my reminder to check in from easyJet today. I was surprised to see they recommend you get there 3 hours before your flight to drop off bags? Seems a bit much for a short haul flight. I'm sure it used to be 2 hours

Many thanks to @lazerus101.bsky.social for printing out this portable fursuit head fan stand which I've combined with a 120mm computer fan and USB-C PWM controller. Seems to work perfectly and it packs down way more than any traditional fan so it's perfect when I need to pack light for cons!

Ended up seeing GOAT this afternoon with @damiantanuki.bsky.social, @lazerus101.bsky.social & @desduck.bsky.social. For a formulaic sports movie with animals, I enjoyed it more than I had expected to. It doesn't really do anything new but Sony Animation continues to create some fantastic looking CG

I'm watching the downhill skiing at the Winter Olympics and I'm thoroughly impressed with the drone footage they're getting. Very cool they're able to follow and keep up with skiers downhill

In tracking my weight loss, I wasn't even paying attention to my BMI which as of this morning is below 40 for the first time in... I don't know how long. Maybe 20 years? The only downside to this is that technically I no longer qualify for a free flu jab but it's still a win!
