If any Democrat did that, we'd see the word "flip-flop." Not "shifting." Really, @nytimes.com?

Um, @ncgovernor.bsky.social - what about us?
Glad to see it! The blue states are stepping up where the federal government has failed us.

I’m less concerned about 10% of #Intel than I am about what backdoor the minority shareholder will demand they put into the chips.

@meiselasb.bsky.social was on gut-wrenching fire last night. I needed that. Heck, we all do. (skip to 42 minutes, then rewind & watch the whole thing.)

It hasn't been an "existential threat" to our democracy for months. How about "actual crisis?" Add your fav in the comments.

He didn't have to release a statement. This would have said it all.

I've read Superman comics for decades and will forgive the two continuity lapses. Stressed about, well, everything? Go to the movies. You get a superhero whose dog saves the planet. And truth, justice and (what was) the American way.

Dear Dems, be like @briantylercohen.bsky.social (and LMK when fox 'news' calls).
Grateful for the invites onto Piers Morgan, Bill Maher, and Chris Cuomo's shows this week. My focus is reaching outside of the liberal bubble and doing the hard work of persuasion in front of new (or even hostile) audiences.

The BEST part of Jen Psaki's report was that it was delivered in real time after being vetted very quickly by her producers. I was OK giving them a 90-second commercial to do that first. Real breaking news, imagine that. Didn't need "no talkin' heads, neither."

Probably one of the very few things I agree with Pres. George H.W. Bush about. “This guy doesn’t know what it means to be President.” He was sadly prescient in 2017.
George W Bush just took down Trump

Kudos @meiselasb.bsky.social - that interview was extremely well done. Ben Folds was cut-wrenching honest. I hope everyone listens to him and shares the pain of his decision.
Folds: If we’ve been told our whole lives that we can’t spend money on the arts because they’re not important—then why was taking over the Kennedy Center and the arts the first thing they did?

It is extremely important. It’s the bedrock of self-expression.

It's more than Medicaid. It's everything. This week, coffee went up $1 per box. Hair goo I use went from $25 to $35 (lasts 2 months; some of us have bad hair). Worriedly awaiting the electric bill; water bill has already skyrocketed. They deserve to lose more than power.

Yes, there's a ton of crap surrounding us. Let's not forget this. Besides, VP Al Gore (who actually DID win a Nobel prize) isn't going to let us forget. Good on him.
Why climate action is unstoppable — and "climate realism" is a myth
In this urgent and hard-hitting talk, Nobel Laureate Al Gore thoroughly dismantles the fossil fuel industry’s narrative of "climate realism," contrasting their misleading claims with the remarkable ad...

Funny how President Obama can STILL say what I want and need to hear.

Don't stop thinking about tomorrow
Don't stop, it'll soon be here
It'll be better than before
Yesterday's gone, yesterday's gone

On Juneteenth, we celebrate freedom and recommit ourselves to the work that remains undone. We remember that even in the darkest hours, there is cause to hope for tomorrow’s light.

This is one of the most important interviews ever done by a journalist who knows what to ask and how to follow up. It's refreshing. It's about time.
Reporter: There’s a pretty good chance Trump might be watching

Newsom: I hope so, he might learn something— rescind this order— it’s illegal. You’re creating the conditions you claim you’re solving and you’re not

Rah, Pete! This is what organizing a couple hundred Dems in Guilford County, NC, on Sunday afternoon looks like. I think I got at least five candidates to find tech help for their campaigns. The food was pretty good, too. ‪
