Gardendragons are able to sprout flowers through their altered magical green flames, growing a blooming territory to attract both pollinators and potential prey. Here a Sunflower dragon grows his host plant in the territory of another dragon, a Pot-marigold dragon, challenging him by sprouting a much larger sunflower in his field of marigolds.

All seven Gardendragon-species feautured in the guidebook, from top to bottom: Red clover dragon, Snowdrop dragon, Marigold dragon, Borage dragon, Lavender Dragon, Nasturtium dragon and Sunflower dragon.

I'm bringing back my old design rants on #TheLionKing 2019 since they've been resurfing online again after Mufasa released lmao

When The Lion King 2019 released, a ton of people complained not only about the lack of facial expressions on the lions but also how indistinguishable they all were from each other and I was JUST as frustrated as everyone else was about these design choices, so I began looking up various photo references online for a possible alternate design pitch for Scar (aaah...a time before AI ruined google and pinterest image search...HOW DEEPLY I MISS IT)

And despite improving on making the lions more expressive in "Mufasa", the problem of keeping the lions distinguisable (except for the main villain) still remains - I've seen clips of the movie and caught myself confusing the lions with each other a couple of times

Comparison between Scar and Mufasa and my old design notes from 2019:
"DID YOU KNOW? A lion's mane can change in color depending on his well-being. If he is under a lot of stress or gets injured, his mane will lighten. In conclusion: Scar lost a battle against his brother and now has to live with being a frustrated blonde"
